Ann was born in the Netherlands, coming to Canada in 1955. She grew up and spent most of her life in Winnipeg before moving and living in Edmonton for five years, and then in 1993 relocating to Supernatural British Columbia.

Ann’s oil painting career came to fruition only after her move to White Rock, British Columbia. Having painted approximately ten (10) years to date, she has developed a style that she can call her own.

“Painting is magical, in that, as each layer of paint goes on the canvas, you go deeper and deeper into the subject matter, The process transports me to other countries, places, and environments”, Ann says, all while enjoying the comforts of her own studio. She adds “Creativity never ends, as it is an inspired journey, to which one never knows the destination, nor the outcome”.
